History of Posters –

 

The first posters were created in the mid 19th century in France as advertisements for new products. In less than ten years, the use of posters spread from France throughout the rest of Europe. They were also used for promotional purposes for theater, and operas shows and major events in Paris and the throughout France. But Jules Cheret, "The Father of the Poster," was the first to give importance to the poster as an artistic image. In 1867, he used the new four-color lithographic process to create a highly stylized form of graphic art that thoroughly integrated text and image.

 

Like Cheret, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and Pierre Bonnard designed numerous posters and lithographs during the nineteenth century. Like most print media, graphic arts were dependent on the invention of the printing press. This allowed for the mass production of all shapes and sizes of posters as well. The technique that is used to print posters is called lithography. This is printing by placing ink on a series of metal or stone ("lithos") carvings, which are really reliefs of color regions on the poster. The Art of Lithography was invented by Alois Senefelder in 1798 in Austria. By 1848 the process had been refined to the point that it was possible to print 10,000 sheers per hour. The First person to produce posters in mass through Lithography was Jules Chéret (1836-1933). He worked in Paris, where his very first poster was entitled Orphée aux Enfants(1858). In 1889 Chéret was awarded the Legion of Honor for creating a "new branch of art."

This is a form of a business card. Many people that have their own business have these cards. They have all types of info. Such as a name,place,hours,number etc. Any were you go that you want to keep in contact you should ask for a card and they should have one.

Graphic Design- Greeting card

Greeting cards let you know what is going on. Many people send them on birthdays, hoildays, Get well soon,etc. You can find greeting cards at many stores. I really like to but them for friends and family and i also love getting the the image that i have is a picture of a Graduation greeting card. 

Magazine cover -Graphic desgin

Magazines covers is another type graphic design which promote the company or product. They always have something eye catching on the cover. For example the hottest thing at the time like Chris Brown and Brittany Spears and her life. Same for other magazine like food ones  the have the best food pictures on the front of them to make you want to buy the book and go home and cook it. i really think that this is a great form to use to make you money. 

Graphic Design- Event Poster

This is another Graphic design which is called event poster. In your event poster you should have the following a date,time,place,for what and etc. Many of event poster have the list as follows. the picture that appear is Aretha Franklin is coming to New York City October 13, 1968 at the Philharmonic Hall. 

scary Typo

This font is call a scary font. This is another type of type. You may see this in many movies, old programs, very old movies etc. This font i really do not like but it is use for it's purpose. There is a time for everything. But yes i have used this font sometime for many reason.

Graphic Design- Art Nouveau Poster

The Art Nouveau styles can be seen in the architecture, sculpture, and painting of the late 19th century and it's broad influences ranged from from post- impresionism to japanese Print. Popular artists of this movement werer alphonse Mucha and gustav klimt. Art nouveau remain popular until about the time of world war 1, to be succeeded by art deco style.

Graphic Design

Graphic Design to me is another word for art. Art to  me is life And life to me is wonderful. Graphics Design can be us in many way for example to express your feeling to also tell how artistic you are. Many people don't know how much  about it. This is not all about pictures it about work, word, and fun. I do think that more people should be introduce to this. More school should have this program in there school system.

this type of a dead, local shop can stick around. You may see this at many old stores. This is a particularly  beatiful example from a bicycle store that moved a few blocks, they took their sign with them but left the trace. This kind of thing can stay for ages. Many people try to get this on their stores. Most family long have bis. have this type signs.

This font is mostly seen in foreign place.This font most asian understand. You may see this is many  place such as nailshops, carryout, and some clothing store food place etc. This font is also an other language and font that is use in the U.S.A. I fine this font very very interesting.

 This font is  seen on most shops. Such as the nail salon, carry out, tattoo shops,etc. These kind of thing catch people attention because many of sign are bright. The colors they use is majorty neon colors such as yellow,red,blue,green, pink.

Wild Style is a type u  will see i many graffiti arts. You will see most of it in the state call New York. You may also see in many are places. You will also see it on some websites you will see it on walls and other place. I have some on my wall it say my name. Many people like this font.

Fun-Cookie Nookie

Cookie Nookie is a silly but cute font, great for scrapbook pages or where you want a unique handwritten look. This font is more like a play write thing. You should not use it for school work,research paper, resume,etc.
